Closing the door after the horse has bolted
More Labour sleaze... So Prescott has finally decided to declare his stay at the ranch of someone bidding for the supercasino licence.
The deputy prime minister had said he was on official business, so had not needed to declare it in the register. Er, isn't it the problem: that he's accepting gifts whilst on official business?
But declaring it now is pointless, cos we all know about it. The whole idea is for MP's to declare it immediately so it doesn't require an invetigation by journalists to find out the truth!
